Sterling abalone kiwi brooch

Piepkleine kiwi broche van abalone, of, zoals de officiële naam in Nieuw Zeeland luidt waar de kiwi vandaan komt, Paua. Paua is de naam die de Maori gegeven hebben aan dit soort schelp. Een schattige minuscule broche van sterling oftewel 925 zilver. De schelp is niet helemaal gaaf, enigszins beschadigd in het midden.

An adorable tiny sterling kiwi brooch of abalone, a bird that lives in New Zealand. Abalone is a shell which is called Paua by the Maori, the indigenious population of New Zealand. The shell is not completely smooth, a bit of damage in the center. Furthermore in good vintage condition.
